All of our coilover levels utilize a significantly different balance and shape of compression and rebound damping curves than what street coilovers use. The RedShift Competition Coilover uses digressive compression damping and linear rebound damping for maximum grip. We tune the compression damping to do more work in controlling the mass of the car (sprung weight), and this in turn reduces dive under braking, makes turn-in crisp, and significantly improves your ability to feel the car and hit your marks on course. Rebound damping is made linear (and relatively less than street coilovers) so that the tire stays in contact with the surface for better grip under braking, at turn-in, through the turn, and for the drive wheels at corner exit. The RedShift Competition Coilovers are designed in every way to win races.
Our RedShift BC Competition Single-Adjustable Coilovers are available in Sport or Race valving. The Sport valving is made for street performance and is best for low to medium stiffness spring setups where comfort is of some importance (like on a daily driver). The Race valving is digressive/digressive or digressive/linear valving that is designed to win autocross and track events and is NOT just stiffer Sport valving; rather we use contemporary motorsport valving strategy seen normally only in real motorsport dampers. The RedShift BC Competition Coilovers are also available in Double- and Triple-Adjustable versions with external reservoirs and large shafts for maximum fluid flow to the base valves. The Double-Adjustable adds a compression-only bleed adjuster for changing low speed compression damping. The Triple-Adjustable has 2 compression adjusters (bleed and spring preload) for low and high speed compression damping changes.
In addition to the above, we also offer the RedShift MCS Competition Double-Adjustable Non-Remote Coilovers utilize the world-renown "Motion Control Suspension" dampers that incorporate separate compression and rebound damping adjustment into the main body of the shock; so no external canister is required. This is a fantastic shock that makes it easy to run a double-adjustable damper without the headache of having to mount external canisters! Also available are RedShift MCS Competition Double- and Triple-Adjustable Remote Coilovers. All RedShift MCS Competition Coilovers use spherical bearing upper mounts and helper springs where needed (struts). Warranty: RedShift Motorsports warranties all RedShift Competition Coilovers for 1 year from the date the customer receives the coilovers. This warranty includes all parts in the coilover kit.
